The Worship Response Team meets people where they are in life by helping them through a life event that might have caused them to step forward during a worship invitation experience. Forest Park’s Worship Response leaders are responsible for introducing Christ to a person for the first time or training and affirming people who come forward in Christian living.

Forest Park Worship Response Team members model joy, peace and the confidence of knowing that whatever we face in life, Jesus, though the power of the Holy Spirit, will help us through it. By focusing on the things that are internal, we share the eternally important: salvation through Jesus Christ, God’s care and God’s love. In this way, our Worship Response Team members create a culture of service and love by helping people who make decisions to Worship, Grow, and Serve.

Purpose – The Worship Response Team Provides Support
The Worship Response Team provides spiritual and emotional support through prayer, scripture and personal one-on-one care to those that step forward during a Forest Park worship service invitation time. Team members supply people under their care with the Gospel message, the tools to study the Bible and the ability to arrive at spiritual truths for themselves.

Purpose – Worship Response Team Helps Restore a Person’s Relationship with God
The Worship Response team offers direction to the person that God draws or convicts of a need that requires reconciliation of relationship to Him as Lord. The team member has the remarkable occasion to share the Gospel, assure a person of a decision that they have already made in the past or help the person with a prayer need that stands in their way of a closer bond with Jesus.

The Worship Response Team Supplies the Person Coming Forward at Invitation Time the Spiritual and Relational Tools to Make Jesus Christ the Lord of His or Her Life
The Worship Response Team presents the Gospel message in a way such that a person can choose Christ on his or her own accord. The team provides support when a person experiences a job loss, overwhelming family obligations, emotional stress from sickness or death or other tragic life events that occur.
