Celebrate Recovery

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through eight recovery principles and the Christ-centered twelve steps. We offer a non-threatening environment for people who have hurts, hang-ups and habits. This ministry is a place where experiences and hope can be shared.

First Serve/Ministry Opportunities

  • Attend a meeting: If you are recovering or wish to recover from hurts, hang-ups and/or habits, this is the place for you. Classes are held at City of Refuge at 7:00 pm on Tuesdays.
  • Service opportunities: God said He would “restore the years eaten by the locusts” (wasted lives) if we follow Him. Be a part of this miracle of recovery by ministering to those in need. There are many opportunities to help in this ministry, so call the Church Office at 417-623-4606 to learn more about these service opportunities.
  • Attend and/or assist in a Small Group: The Overcomer’s Small Group meets on Sunday mornings at 8:15 am in Room 330.

Then I will make up to you for the years that the swarming locust has eaten.
-Joel 2:25
