Wednesday Update from Pastor John

We have 3 to 6 (depending on the night) displaced people staying with us in our home ranging from 21 to 80 years old. My sweet wife cooks for us all and at dinner we discuss the events of the day. Lots of others families have welcomed people into their homes as well. The best I can tell, none of the 55 Forest Park families who lost their home or apartment are staying in a shelter. Tuesday Update from Pastor John

People ask me if I’m devastated. I say “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

It is amazing to see so many wonderful people working together to help people in need! We fed HUNDREDS of people today, removed debris, salvaged possessions, prayed with the grieving, gave away clothes, supplies, water, etc. Thank you God for using our church to help people!

Tomorrow’s needs:

1. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, we need volunteers at 6:30 a.m. at the BSU on Duquesne Road (north of MSSU) to fix breakfast for relief workers. FIRST you must email Leetta Wilson to let her know you are coming .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
