The Five-Count System:
To quiet a group of clubbers, the five-count system is used. When a leader begins to count to five, the group should quietly come to attention. When “five” is reached, absolute silence should reign.
The Three-Count System:
The three-count is used for individual misbehavior. When a problem occurs, the “one” count is given by the leader.
The “two” count is given for continued misbehavior, and disciplinary action will be taken.
When the third offense necessitates a “three” count, the offending clubber will be removed from his or her group for the remainder of the evening and his or her parents will be contacted. Should the same situation arise the following week, the clubber will be sent home and suspended from Club for no longer than two weeks. The clubber will then be encouraged to come back to Club if he or she is willing to abide by Club rules and respect the authority of the Awana leadership.
Some offenses can result in an immediate two-week suspension such as fighting or leaving church property.
