June 13 Update from Pastor John

It was sweet to have yesterday off so we could worship and recharge our internal batteries. Today we were back in full swing and three people made a commitment to follow Jesus at Mission Joplin! Yes, it is hot, but when we see God drawing people to Himself, it is SO WORTH IT! Our amazing volunteers say that we really need queen size sheets, laundry detergent, pull-ups, shaving cream, hairspray, 50 lawn chairs, and 50 tents.

You can volunteer for as little as a two hour shift, or for half a day, or all day. We have people to train you but the most important thing is simply loving the hurting people who come by for help. I always ask them to share their experience with the tornado and just listening seems to really help them. They deeply appreciate our support and prayers, and I DEEPLY appreciate all of you who are being the hands and feet of Jesus! THANK YOU!!!
